The Binding of Isaac
November 08, 2011
I forgot to update in week or so because my mind was occupied with the
Binding of Isaac. But now I've unlocked everything and the horrible way in which the game seems to punish me by constantly giving me all the wrong items all the time has gone from novel and challenging to just plain grating, so I think I'm done now.
Which is the good news. The bad news is that I've re-installed
SpaceChem on my computer with the very real intention of plugging all the way through it (I'm on the second-to-last planet, but the challenges are mind liquefying).
I am quite serious in saying that SpaceChem is in my top 5 list of all-time best games ever made, and I'm quite embarrassed that I haven't actually finished it. Playing Zachtronic's previous game,
The Codex of Alchemical Engineering, sent me on a Flash gaming kick that spiraled way out of control (though eventually culminated in designing my own game, of course). (And, seriously, follow that link if you've never played the Codex before.)
Anyway, next up I'll be returning to talking about D&D. We had a game on Saturday that was fairly interesting.
